Jeanneau powerboat Leader 46 won the 2015 Nautic Design Award in the cruiser category. Organised by the Paris Boat Show, the awards show recognises the most beautiful powerboat designs from a selection of day boats and cruisers.
As a new model for 2016, the 14.3-metre Leader 46 combines sportiness and livability. Ideal for family cruising, this new generation cruiser is resolutely contemporary.
The most recent addition to the Leader line was first selected as a finalist in an online vote by the public. A second vote followed by the public and a jury, headed by architect and urban planner Odile Decq and composed of journalists and designers including Philippe Starck.
The Leader line continues to grow with the launch of the Leader 46.
The new model carries the same DNA as the line, making a statement with a sporty hull designed by J&J Design. The design owes her sleek profile to the talents of Garroni Design.
Available with IPS propulsion or stern drive, the 46 offers superior quality performance and seakeeping abilities.
To satisfy the customer who enjoys day trips and family cruising, the exterior layout offers different living spaces on board.
The spacious sport top is laid out on a single level and features a large, U-shaped saloon to port side, a copilot bench seat closed to the helm that converts into a sheltered sundeck, as well as a very attractive cockpit galley.
The opening roof on the sport top slides widely, instantly transforming the Leader 46 into a large open model. The helm benefits from a sought-after design that is enhanced by perfect ergonomics and a superb black finish.
The second space, forward, invites relaxation with a comfortable sundeck and adjustable seat backs. Aft, the spacious sundeck leads to a swim platform (optional hydraulic platform) that becomes a living space while at anchor.
Particularly destined for cruising, an optional aft sliding glass panel allows for closing or fully opening the sport top toward the aft.
The comfortable saloon with sea views faces a first-rate galley that is particularly serviceable.
Innovative and unexpected, a true owner’s suite is a pleasant surprise, with her superb central cabin (centreline berth) and a king-size, modular head and shower compartment.
The guest cabin, private head and shower compartment offer the same luxurious details and overall comfort (berths may be separated, copious storage).
Fully modular, the Leader 46 is also offered in a three-cabin version that is particularly well adapted to the closed sport top version.
