Impressive Fleet Ready For Singapore Yacht Show
Published: Friday, 15 January 2016
With the sixth edition of the Singapore Yacht Show (April 7-10) just three months away, the international yachting industry has shifted its focus to the host city. Held at the award-winning ONE°15 Marina Club in Singapore’s Sentosa Cove, this exclusive event will bring together world-class yachts, entertaining, and a number of luxury products and brands.
Leading the pack of superyachts joining the event is the 43-metre M/Y Triple 8, built by Royal Denship in 2009. Triple 8 recently entered the market for sale, following an extensive voyage spanning the globe, from the East Coast of the US to Southeast Asia.
Italian shipyard Fincantieri will join the growing list of Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss) members exhibiting in Singapore, building brand awareness and making valuable connections among Asia’s elite. Fincantieri made waves in 2015 with the launch of 140m M/Y Ocean Victory, which was moored in Singapore during the 2015 Singapore show and has since remained in the Asia-Pacific region on the owner’s maiden voyage world tour. Upon her launch, M/Y Ocean Victory was the ninth largest yacht in the world, and the largest yacht to come from an Italian Yard.
This year’s show will also see the return of Australian yacht builder SilverYachts. Following the launch of the super-sleek and eco-friendly M/Y Silver Fast, SilverYachts unveiled its latest build project – the fast and fuel-efficient world explorer M/Y Silver Loft, which is currently under construction and scheduled for delivery in 2017.
Exhibitors will also present an impressive array of the latest yacht toys and tenders. Long-standing exhibitor Supratechnic will be back with a larger presence than ever, boasting an array of jet skis, amphibious vehicles, and outboard engines. Asia will also be introduced to Quadrofoil for the first time. The eco-friendly Jet Ski is sure to turn heads as it slices through the water, raised on four hydrofoils.
The number of exhibitors to sign up for this year's edition of the show has been greater than ever before. Those already confirmed to make a reappearace include local players Reel Torque, Hong Seh and Asia Pacific Superyachts, as well as international marine brands Grand Banks, Princess Yachts, Gulf Craft, Westport, Heesen Yachts and Lürssen. Complementary service providers and manufacturers also returning include Dassault Falcon, U-Boat Worx, Markagain, AXA and Prudential along with a number of other suppliers, interior designers and boat designers.
