Masterminded by German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, the 60-metre award-winning motor yacht Elandess is now offered for sale by Burgess and will be exhibited at the Palm Beach International Boat Show (Mar 17-20) in Florida.
Delivered in 2009 and meticulously maintained by her original owner, her midnight blue hull has just been repainted ahead of the yacht being released onto the global sales market.
This superyacht is the product of the collaboration of two world-class design houses. Her elegant exterior was styled by Donald Starkey Design while her interior is the work of Bannenberg & Rowell Design.
Elandess’ distinctive interior is a fusion of functionality and edgy contemporary design, combining innovative textures with striking artifacts and bold splashes of colour to create a highly original and supremely comfortable living environment.
The main saloon offers an inviting seating area with a pale cream colour palette accented with touches of citrus green throughout. A full size cocktail bar complete with high stools creates the focus. A thoroughfare leads forward to the formal dining area with its stunning glass-topped table for 12 guests.
The expansive sky lounge offers the perfect space for communal gathering. Excellent lighting, sophisticated audio-visual facilities and another full size bar make this a popular informal area.
Located on the main deck, the full beam Art Deco inspired master suite boasts a walk-in dressing room, private study and a central spa bath flanked by his and hers shower rooms. The suite benefits from plenty of natural light through huge floor-to-ceiling picture windows and a secluded private deck awaits forward. Four guest cabins (two doubles and two twins) are positioned on the lower deck and can convert into two full beam suites. A multi-purpose cabin on the bridge deck with two pullman beds and can equally serve as a children’s playroom or study.
Joining the decks in the central foyer is a bespoke metallic silver spiral staircase.
The spacious deck areas of Elandess are supremely well conceived for al fresco living. The open plan sun deck features a large rectangular Jacuzzi, an array of sunpads and sun loungers, a bar and gym equipment. Excellent outdoor dining facilities are provided aft on both the bridge and main decks. A large tender garage at the stern houses a full complement of water toys and two superb custom tenders, which can be quickly deployed via the Abeking & Rasmussen-designed launching system.
The 60m superyacht combines performance with aesthetics, and although historically used solely for private cruising, her many attributes also lend her as the perfect charter yacht. The yacht has successfully completed a circumnavigation and is powered by twin Caterpillar 2,000hp main engines, delivering a top speed of 16 knots and an economical cruising speed of 13 knots. Her Quantum XT stabilisers ensure on board comfort both while underway and at anchor.
Elandess has been turning heads since her delivery, winning the Best Power 40-65m category at the International Superyacht Society Awards 2010 plus finalist in several categories at the ShowBoat Designs Awards and World Superyacht Awards 2010.
Elandess is offered for sale by Burgess as exclusive Central Agents with an asking price of €52.5M
The yacht’s 60m x 13m berth at Marina Genova Aeroporto in Genova, Italy is also available for sale through Burgess. Priced at €3.5M with a lease until 2052, two lock-up garages and five parking spaces come with the berth in this conveniently located marina.
