Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show Ready To Kick Off

The Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show (Apr 29-May 2) will kick-off on April 29 at the Gold Coast Yacht & Country Club with a preview day for trade, invited guests and club members, followed by a celebration party to mark the official opening. The show will then be officially open to the public throughout the long, holiday weekend.
The theme of the show is 'Affordable Luxury', with vessels ranging from affordable, fun weekend cruisers to the indulgent, pure luxury superyachts.
The 16th edition will include the second Gold Coast Cardboard Boat Charity Regatta, a fun build-and-race challenge, which helps raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
Overall 60 major international exhibitors will display an impressive collection of vessels and related equipment at the show. With a combined value of over HK$1 billion from small sailboats and runarounds to superyachts, prices range from less than HK$100,000 to more than HK$50 million.
One of Asia’s leading yacht dealership’s Simpson Marine will showcase a line-up motor yachts, sport cruisers and sailboats. Six yachts will be displayed including the Sanlorenzo 106, Monte Carlo 4 and 5, Beneteau Oceanis 35 and Oceanis 55 and the Lagoon 560.
French shipyard Jeanneau, together with Prestige Yachts, will display the first Prestige 680 in Asia, along with a 620 and 450. The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 479 and the Velasco 37 F will also be showcased.
UK builder Princess Yachts will show off the Princess 72, as well as the now restored first yacht ever built by Princess – Project 31@50.
Italian yacht manufacturer Benetti, part of the Azimut|Benetti Group, will debut the impressive 40-metre Mingfa, which will be the largest yacht on display at the Gold Coast show.
The Sunseeker display will feature the Portofino 40, Manhattan 55, and Yacht 75. Sunseeker Asia is offering a new Aston Martin Vantage free of charge as a package deal for an order of a new Sunseeker Yacht 131 available in 2017 with 30 per cent discount off retail price. This offer also applies to the new Sunseeker Yacht 116 available in 2017 with 28 per cent discount.
Northrop & Johnson also will offer four yachts for display at this year’s show including the 24m Horizon yacht Kasu, the 17.7m Tayana Yachts Moonshadow, the Privilege 49 and the Sunseeker 47.
As the largest exhibitor at this year's show, Asia Yachting will be showcasing the entire range of Monte Carlo Yachts alongside selected Nautique wake boats, a Monterey sports yacht, and Scarab jet boats.
Asia-Pacific Boating magazine will also celebrate its 40th anniversary on April 30 at an invite-only cocktail party at the Gold Coast Yacht Club.
