Yas Marina Launches 2016 Race Week Packages

Abu Dhabi-based Yas Marina has announced its berthing rates and packages for the 2016 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (Nov 25-27). Yacht owners and the general public are encouraged to register early for what is expected to be another sell out year.
As the last race of the 2016 Formula 1 calendar, the world’s only twilight race returns to Yas Marina Circuit. Track view and non-track view berths at Yas Marina give motor sport and yachting enthusiasts front row seats to action on and off the track.
Starting at AED 13,150, Yas Marina’s Race Week berthing rates include a generous allocation of Yas Marina guests passes, which provide access to track side pontoons and the post-race evening concerts.
Berth holders are again guaranteed a packed programme of entertainment, including world-class musical artists at the after-race concerts.
Yas Marina is set to be the epicenter of the social scene offering a number of entertainment onshore across the seven licensed restaurants, lounges and bespoke after race parties.
Race Week berth packages enable yachts up to 150-metres to berth in the marina from November 20 until November 27.
Captains and crew can take advantage of the turnkey solutions that Yas Marina provides over the race weekend, allowing yacht owners and guest to enjoy the race. These include assistance with customs and immigration clearance, onsite boat maintenance, yacht provisioning, private club car and VIP courtesy shuttle for transporting guests.
“Each year, we experience a huge demand for Race Week berths,” says Yas Marina General Manager Cedric Le Rest. “Since 90 per cent of berths usually sell out before the end of August we strongly encourage yacht owners to submit their Expression of Interest before August so that they can secure their berth. Annual berths are a great option for those who would like to secure their Grand Prix slot early, as they offer a plethora of year-round benefits in addition to a Race Week berth. Benefits include discounts at partner venues of Yas Island as well as highly competitive shore power rates.”
