The team visited Taipei on June 1 and enjoyed spendint time with the local yachting community during an exclusive cocktail event. The tour also included Shanghai and Shenzhen in China.
Organised by Taiwan Country Manager Tony Chen, the cocktail event gathered over 50 distinguished guests, including Nelson Liu and Ting H. Kuo who gave a presentation about becoming the first Taiwanese sailors to circumnavigate the globe. After this, Irarrera welcomed guests and introduced the values of the MCY brand with its original Nuvolari Lenard hull design, Portuguese Bow, fully customisable design featuring fabrics from the world’s top fashion houses fabrics and short delivery time possible to the industry leading modular building process developed at the MCY shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
The cocktail event was held on the rooftop terrace of the relocated Simpson Marine office tower in the heart of the city in Taipei's Da’an District.

Taiwan enjoys excellent conditions for yachting and its natural beauty makes it an attractive base for cruising to destinations such as Penghu Islands or the Okinawa archipelago.
Another news of MCY is that the first MCY yacht - MCY 86 - arrived at Pattaya, Thailand after passaging from Hong Kong.
Welcomed by her new Owner on arrival, the yacht made an appearance on arrival at Ocean Marina Yacht. Once she was all prepped and ready, the yacht made her first day cruise around the islands of Pattaya and has proved to be a great entertaining platform with her huge fly bridge space and Portuguese bow.
Along with offices in Kaohsiung and Penghu, Simpson Marine shares the same mission with the Taiwan government of continuous promotion of the yachting culture to the local community by organising yachting events like the annual Penghu Regatta. The fourth edition will be held June 23-26 2016.
Another Simpson Marine news: the company’s office in Thailand has also shifted location. The move brings together the Sales, Service, Yacht Charter and Yacht Care operations of Simpson Marine Phuket in Ao Po Grand Marina, located at the entrance of Phang Nga Bay with direct access to the cruising anchorages around and various holiday destinations.
Simpson's Thailand office also showed support recently for the Vladivostok Boat Show, held May 20-22 at the Seven Feet Yacht Club, Russia.

Simpson representative Maksim Volkov promoted the yachting lifestyle, yacht charter holidays and yacht care programme in Phuket. The three-day event proved to be a great platform to introduce Phuket, the Asian Riviera Thailand, and to promote easy ownership with Simpson Yacht Care.
Meanwhile, the Simpson Marine Singapore team headed off on a 250-mile round trip up the East Coast of Malaysia on the annual Tioman Rendezvous comprising a convoy joined by Lagoon 450 and 39 catamarans, Beneteau Oceanis 46 and 50, the Monte Carlo Yachts 86 and a number of other boats. They anchored in Pulau Sibu and enjoyed a BBQ dinner at Rimba Resort with their warm hospitality. That was followed by a day of island hopping and local food in Tioman.

There is a brand new Lagoon 39 in Jakata that was sold by Simpson Marine. The excited Owner is an experienced yachtsman who took delivery this year and sailed her from Singapore to Jakarta. She can be seen most weekends cruising to Pulau Seribu, the tropical islands just a short distance from Jakarta.
Her vertical bows and impressive sailing performance make her easily recognisable. This well-equipped Lagoon 39 will soon be exploring the Indonesian archipelago and turning heads wherever she goes.
