Home to the world’s largest coral reef system, the impressive ecosystem is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but is also one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World.

“It's a once in a lifetime vacation," says U.S. News Travel Editor Erin Shields. The Great Barrier Reef is home to more than 3,000 coral reefs and 600 islands. Spanning more than 344,400 square kilometres, there is so much beauty to enjoy.

One of the best ways to explore the Great Barrier Reef is by private yacht. Yacht charters in the area are gaining popularity. In addition to providing guests with the holiday of a lifetime, they will also help educate reef visitors as to how we can help sustain the environment and ecosystem for the future generations.
