During the boat shows, Advanced Yachts is introducing some new projects to the international press – the Advanced A44s, the sporty version of A44, the newest Advanced A62 andthe first renders of the flagship Advanced A100.
The new Advanced 62 combines together several aero-hydrodynamic and naval architecture features which make this boat a really innovative sailing yacht, fast, responsive and fun to sail, safe, comfortable, and at the same time, easy to sail, with plenty of space and volumes, both inside and outside.
Advanced Italian Yachts, to design the flagship of its line, confirmed the successful team already engaged for their A66: the American naval architects John Reichel and Jim Pugh of Reichel/Pugh and the Italian yacht designers Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino of Nauta Yachts.
The innovative A80 hull shape met the team’s goals for top performance and wide volumes. The rudder shape and fin profile are the result of state-of-the-art research for performance, control and easy handling in any weather condition.
The development and optimisation of the Advanced A80 hull shape benefits from Reichel/Pugh’s experience designing the most competitive yachts on the international racing circuit today. Their state-of-the-art design tools have been developed in-house over 30 years of racing yacht design and are used to optimize hull shapes, appendages and rig design.
Comfort, elegance and performance inspired the Advanced A80 design. Large aft volumes and deck geometries speak of speed, efficiency and modernity.
With the A80, thanks to a glass window deck house, one can experience intense brightness while enjoying an all around view of the outside, a feature that usually big motor boats only have.
The Advanced A80 uses the most innovative and advanced construction materials and techniques. Sandwich panels with fibreglass and carbon reinforcements are impregnated with epoxy resins infused under vacuum and reinforced with unidirectional carbon fibre in high load areas. Moreover, to increase hull stiffness and save weight in the upper area, improving stability, it has been chosen a full carbon deck. Both hull and deck are made from female moulds for a very light, stiff hull with perfect surface finishing.
Advanced Yachts commissioned the design of the A44 from exceptionally highly-regarded sailing names: Roberto Biscontini (naval architect). In 2010 he worked with Team Zealand to design the Volvo70 Camper, an educational experience from which he took direct inspiration to create the Advanced A44; and to Advanced Yachts longstanding partner, Nauta Design, which penned the interior design and coordinated the overall project.
The A44 offers Owners maximum sailing pleasure whilst relieving them from the everyday inconveniences of boat ownership. It is a sporty, sleekly-designed yacht with a superb construction. Penned to reflect the latest yachting trends, the A44 is light and with high performance and very powerful waterlines that guarantee exhilarating planning yet generous amounts of on-board living space. Only the very best materials and on-board equipment on the market have been used. This is a yacht designed to deliver serious results in competition whilst remaining easy to handle to be sailed by two people only.
After the great success of A44, Advanced Yachts started to transpose the same core concepts on a bigger boat. The new Advanced 62 combines together several aero-hydrodynamic and naval architecture features which make this boat a really innovative sailing yacht, fast, responsive and fun to sail, safe, comfortable, and at the same time, easy to sail, with plenty of space and volumes, both inside and outside.
Her design was developed using the most recent yacht design technologies and the most advanced tools available in the field like the parametric cad system and a naval architecture software suite developed over 25 years of America’s Cup design, including a very powerful V.P.P. programme used in five America’s Cup campaigns. This allowed a test to a large number of potential design candidates, such that the final design was developed and optimized in a way possible only very recently.
Sleek and modern exterior styling with a functional deck layout and ample cockpit make for efficient manoeuvring while racing and relaxed outdoor living while cruising. Nauta Yacht Design has carefully planned the spaces below decks to include two functional guest cabins aft (with wide double or twin forward-facing berths), a light-flooded open space saloon and an impressive Owner’s Cabin forward.
An exclusive look and feel that re-elaborates the A66 concept, where wide spaces, great light and a sensation of openness join beautifully to the power of a high performance hull, extreme safety and friendly handling.
