Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s annual season opener, the Autumn Regatta Sept 10-11, is a two-day three-race event with a history dating back to 1889. Open to entries from throughout Hong Kong, the event hopes to attract over 100 entries across nine classes.

Up till Sept 4, there have been in total 11 entries in Big Boat Class, 10 entries in Dragon Class, two entries in Etchells Class, five in Impala Class, nine in J/80 Class, one in Ruffian Class and five in Sportsboat Class.

The first race will get underway in the Eastern Harbour at 13:50 on Saturday Sept 10, while Race 2 starts at 11:00am on Sunday, with Race 3 following as soon as Race 2 has finished. The courses to be sailed will be set by the Race Officer on the day, taking into consideration the prevailing wind and tidal conditions.
