The 10th edition of China Cup International Regatta is taking place Oct 27-30. With its ever-growing popularity at home and abroad, the annually-held regatta attracts this year 138 boats from 38 nationalities signed up to compete. As a long-time partner, Beneteau witnesses China Cup growing from a regional regatta to an important boat sailing event with international fame.

Over the last 10 years, Beneteau leverages its worldwide network of distributors and sailors to invite crews from all around the world to participate in China Cup. International reporters are also invited to be on each of those boats, covering the stories of China Cup in different languages. Aside from the presence of its management, Beneteau brings together the world’s top sailors to take the helm of Beneteau Team each year such as former Skippers from the America’s Cup, from the Vendee Globe or the World Match Racing Tour. Beneteau also offers technical training to the engineers of China Cup, both in France and in Asia. Last year, at the 9th edition, Beneteau facilitated the agreement of cooperation between China Cup and Vendee Globe, the only single-handed non-stop round-the-world race.
Preparing China Cup 2016, Team Beneteau Asia-Simpson Marine and Team Beneteau America take on, this year again, the challenge of competing in the fierce First 40.7 class. Beneteau Asia pairs up with its local dealer Simpson Marine, two heavy-weights in Asia’s yachting industry to race together. Team Beneteau America, as the second-timer for China Cup, involves both members of Beneteau America management team and dealers from North and South America. Of all the boats competing in HKPN and IRC class, there are 18 Beneteau boats. Together with the 25 First 40.7, a total of 43 Beneteau boats will fight for their names at Daya Bay.
Since its entry into the Chinese market in 2005, Beneteau has been active in promoting the sailing culture throughout the country, fostering a healthy and robust development of sailing. Very active in the racing waters everywhere, Beneteau also hosts boat Owners’ gatherings and many other sailing activities.
