Asian yacht brokerage and charter firm Simpson Marine has held Beneteau Sailing Day Oct 6, which brought together a number of guests and media to view three stunning sailing yachts, enjoy and afternoon sea trial, and a convivial evening cocktail event at Aberdeen Harbour, Hong Kong. A week later Oct 13, the company has also held Monte Carlo Open Day at the same place, displaying two ravishing yachts.

The yachts on display on Beneteau Sailing Day included brand new Beneteau sailboats: a beautifully finished Sense 55 destined for Taiwan, a stunning Oceanis 55 currently for sale in Hong Kong, and an elegant Oceanis 60 also sold to Taiwan. These three flagship yachts from Beneteau offer comfort and safety for families cruising the seas of the world. Interior designs, layouts and equipment can be selected from a range of options.
Featuring two popular models from the Monte Carlo range – the Monte Carlo 5 and Monte Carlo 6, Simpson Marine’s Monte Carlo Open Day was a very lively event combining two yachts on display, two sea trials with guests, and a sunset cocktail reception.
The Tiffany-blue hull of the MC5 was eye-catching on that sunny day. Her flybridge comes with numerous lounging areas, shaded by a full-length bimini and is enriched by a wide range of equipment such as a mini kitchenette for light meals and barbeque.

During the afternoon sea trials, the champagne cream hull of the newly-arrived MC6 was contrasting the blue waters of the southwestern side of the Hong Kong island. The yacht was designed to match modern discerning tastes with her cottage-like interior design. Saloon doors can open wide, creating one seamless space with the cockpit—the perfect space to enjoy a party. Another nice feature of the MC6 is certainly her spacious flybridge, complete with big sun pads, barbeque and refrigerator, and comfortable seating around the communal dining table. The Captain’s seat is an impressive piece of design and allows for a stylish and comfortable ride.

The event’s supporting partners included French glassmaker Saint Louis (Hermes group) who decorated the yachts with beautiful crystal pieces, and Sarment Wines offering a unique experience by serving high-quality wines and champagne under the care of its attentive sommelier.
