The delivery of this unit is expected in the first half of 2018. The yacht is currently under construction at AES Yacht shipyard.

CCN Yachts is a part of CCN Investment Holding. CCN Yachts decided to built 68m M/Y Day’s as the first unit of Ice Yachts, which ranges between 65 and 75m, in collaboration with AES Yacht shipyard.

The joint venture works together with the internationally awarded Italian design studio – Hot Lab Yacht & Design – for the interior and exterior design in order to create a brand new project for a private client. The experienced Turkish company Endaze Marine Engineering has been named for the naval architecture of the vessel.

The project management for the client’s side is carried out by Jacques Potgieter and Iain Flockhart. With their extensive sea-going and operational management experience in the industry, their input is vital to ensure that the vessel is being built to an acceptable “industry standard” and that it would be functional, safe and cost-effective to operate and maintain. This was made easy by them being involved in the preliminary stages of the project more than six months before any steel was cut.

CCN Yachts and the client appointed Burgess as central agency for brokerage. Burgess is responsible for marketing and the sale of the project M/Y Day’s and future projects, which include another, soon to be unveiled, explorer yacht of a size between 70 and 75m.

CCN Yachts and AES Yacht selected trusted international suppliers as partners of this new range, which will include more projects in the years to come.

“Before the production phase, we have been absolutely meticulous during the design stage of the project, and every single item has carefully liaised together with CCN Yachting,” says AES Yacht General Coordinator Alperen Agbas. “Prior to equipment selection, we visited many of the related suppliers in their factories and facilities in order to check their production facilities and assess their quality. We visited numerous facilities in Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands. During the design phase, together with Endaze Marine Engineering, we have amalgamated our resources together by working with Van Oossanen and Van Cappellen. The purpose of all these meticulous consultations is for the company to be competitive with the leading mega yacht shipyards of the global market”.

All but one (the final aft block) of the steel hull blocks are finished, and already assembled. Half of the aluminium superstructure has been completed. We aim to finish all ‘hot works’ by December 2016,” he adds. “The estimated delivery time of the project is the first half of 2018 for the vessel to be presented in Monaco Yacht Show 2018. In the meantime, we have prepared a mock-up of one of the VIP cabins with all hard finishes. As you could see from the short specs, all the equipment has been selected and ordered from reputable international brands and suppliers. This is very important for us to underline”.
