The Edmond de Rothschild Group is celebrating its 140-year association with yachts and yacht racing with a travelling exhibition and a book. Through its partnership with Nautor’s Swan, it is continuing the passion that its founder Edmond de Rothschild had for these elegant monohull vessels.
Nautor’s Swan has 50 years of experience building top-quality yachts that are fast, elegant and safe, as well as organising high-level sailing competitions all around the world.

The partnership will cover various competitions to be held in 2017, such as the Nations Trophy (Palma de Mallorca October), the Swan European Regatta (Isle of Wight), the Giraglia Rolex Cup (Saint Tropez), the Copa del Rey (Palma de Mallorca) and the Voiles de Saint Tropez, in which the Edmond de Rothschild Group has been a partner since 2014.
“We are very proud to be a partner of such an important company, with such a solid and established nautical heritage,” says Nautor’s Swan Group Executive Chairman Leonardo Ferragamo. “Both Edmond de Rothschild Group and Nautor’s Swan have made the attention to their clients/Owners a point of reference in all their activities and this new alliance will enrich the quality of future events together. "
"I am delighted that we are joining forces with Nautor’s Swan, which shares our values of expertise, precision, elegance and competition,” says the Edmond de Rothschild Group's Executive Committee Chairwoman Ariane de Rothschild. “With this partnership, I am maintaining the passion that my father-in-law had for these boats and their era-defining style and performance. We regularly sail on the famous Gitana VI yacht, which was built in 1975 by Olin Stephens, who alongside German Frers is a key figure in yachting history. Their names are intricately linked with the history of Nautor's Swan."
