After the successful premiere of the Wider 150 at the Autumn European shows, Italian shipyard Wider has confirmed that it will start the construction of a new Wider 125, commissioned by a Northern European client at the Monaco Yacht Show Sept 28-Oct 1. Delivery will be in late spring of 2019.

Wider has confirmed that it has the capacity to build a second unit in parallel and is currently in advanced discussions with several interested parties. More information will be released in due course.
The all-aluminium vessel, with exterior design by Fulvio De Simoni, will retain the distinctive Wider style of the W150 and the W165 as well as the same diesel-electric technology. The Wider 125 will include a full beam master stateroom on the main deck with a large opening terrace together with Owner’s study and gym (or sixth cabin, depending on personal preference. This is a unique feature for yacht of this size and will be particularly appealing should the Owner decide to place it on the charter market). Guests will be treated to four lavish staterooms that stretch further aft than on a traditional motor yacht of this size, well into the area usually reserved for an engine room.
A range of 2,600nm is expected at 12 knots, increasing to 3,400nm at the economical speed of 10 knots. The yacht has a top speed of 14 knots and can also run solely using batteries in Zero Emission Mode.
“I am delighted that we came to an agreement to build the Wider 125,” says Wider SRL Founder and CEO Tilli Antonelli. “The client is an experienced charter customer who knows how his family want to use and enjoy their yacht. We have been talking for over a year and the client has looked at the market in detail and decided to build with Wider. We are grateful to him for showing his faith in us to build his first yacht. Many thanks also go to Georges Damonte from Damonte Yacht Consulting for his assistance in securing the build.”
