Hull 3 of FD85 is scheduled to make her appearance in the U.S. in 2017, while FD74 and FD102 models are currently in final design and engineering stages.
The profile of the new series features a plumb bow and plentiful floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It also boasts flexible performance, voluminous interior and exterior spaces. Having entertainment, relaxation, and seakeeping in mind, designer Cor D. Rover collaborated with Horizon’s in-house naval architecture team to develop each model in the advanced Fast Displacement series. The team focused on safety, style, relaxation areas and the maximisation of space.

“Many clients come to Horizon for a mid-size yacht and want to enjoy their yacht with family and friends,” says Rover. “Entertaining is an important factor in their layout choices, as is the ability for the Owners to easily manage the yacht themselves.”
Featuring extensive interior volume with four guest staterooms including an on-deck master cabin, FD74 is also equipped with a 21ft 6in beam and large windows that allows tremendous amount of natural light in. A spacious aft deck leads into the main saloon and country kitchen forward with a raised pilothouse above. On the flybridge is a large bar with stools and wraparound settee just aft of the helm station. It also includes crew quarters for two forward. She is powered with twin CAT C18A engines of 1136HP each or optional MAN V8s of 1200HP each.
Hull 3 of FD85 has a cruising speed between 10 to 20 knots powered with twin CAT C18 1600HP engines. The model boasts a five-stateroom layout, with a full-beam king master stateroom on the main deck mirrored VIP queen and twin guest staterooms on the lower deck. Plenty of light can come into the interior thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the main saloon, formal dining room and master stateroom. On the flybridge are an outdoor helm, full bar, twin dinettes, and a hot tub.
FD102 is the largest model in the series with twin CAT C32 ACERTs of 1900HP each. With an overall length of 104ft, it features an open bridge punctuated by fold-down balconies that extend the expansive al fresco living space. It also comes with a five-stateroom layout: a full-beam master is located on the main deck, while three crew cabins are situated on the lower deck. Large windows are installed in the main saloon and formal dining area.
“Blending contemporary interior and exterior styling and functional design with flexible performance capabilities, the FD series encompasses the ultimate in versatile displacement motoryacht design,” says Horizon Founder John Lu. “Collaborating with a designer as talented as Cor D. Rover has brought yet another unique style to our expansive range of motoryachts for passionate Owners.”
