Simpson To Supply Discover Sailing Asia With 32 Beneteau Oceanis 45s

Asian brokerage and charter company Simpson Marine has formed a partnership with Hong Kong-based yacht management company Discover Sailing Area for the exclusive supply of a fleet of 32 Beneteau Oceanis 45 sail yachts to be based in eight countries in Asia and for charter.

Spring 2017 will see the arrival of the first four units of Discover Sailing Asia Special Edition of OC45 designated for Hong Kong. They will be immediately available for charters within Hong Kong waters.
According to recent researches of YachtSys, there are currently around 11,000 boats for charter in the globe, with 94% as sailing yachts. Yet, only a small percentage is available in Asia. Sailing yacht charter remains the most popular in Croatia and Italy in Europe, followed by the Caribbean with Martinique as a favorite bare boat destination. With the aim to promote sailing in Asia, Discover Sailing Asia offers an an all-inclusive intelligent yacht ownership programme for investors to purchase a new Beneteau Oceanis 45 that will be managed and chartered by the company. It will cover all yearly operational costs and grant up to 9% of the yacht’s value as yearly revenue for the Owner. This provides an alternative for investment as well as a worry-free sailing within Asia. The company provides access to sailing to a much broader group than before and as a result increases boating figures.
Three membership programmes with unique benefits for investors are available – Performance, Elite and Dream. Performance programme allow a buy-back guarantee of the yacht after six years of use. These programmes combine financial benefits with a number of weeks that Owners can use their yachts in their base, but they are also entitled to use other yachts in the fleet in the 18 proposed locations including Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines.
Simpson Marine, operating in seven countries with 20 offices and 10 service centres, has been selected as an exclusive partner for this project and the boat that has been chosen for the programme is Beneteau Oceanis 45, which is capable of sleeping up to 8-10 guests in four double cabins.
