Ensign Ship Brokers was established in 1980 and over the last 36 years has grown into one of the largest brokerage in Australia with six offices and more than 30 staff. Ensign’s team of experienced brokers travel internationally on a regular basis, completing deals on behalf of yards in France, Germany, Italy and China. Their extensive industry knowledge ensure their ability to manage the build process and the product is well supported for their clients.
“We are very pleased to represent such a modern and quality product in the Heysea range of vessels,” says Ensign CEO Tony Ross after inspecting the Heysea factory in November and met with the management team. “Our aim is to exceed the clients expectation for service and provide a real, value driven option for those looking at more expensive European or American built craft.”
As the 25th largest builder of superyacht in the world, Heysea specialises in manufacturing both monohull and multihull forms of over 55-feet. Its in-house design team consists of 40 full-time staff who build modern yachts with the demands of high profile clientele in mind.
“We are delighted to work together and look forward to having the Heysea range well represented by Tony and his experienced team,” says Heysea Chairman Allen Leng. “Monohulls currently under construction in the Heysea shipyard are two 72ft vessels, a 78ft, 82ft and 108ft model and a 95ft luxury model designed by Sydney-based naval architect David Bentley. Also under construction is a 42 metre power catamaran and the construction on a new 72ft Power catamaran is soon to commence as well.”
