King Shark’s features a focus on yachting lifestyle and she can move from the warm waters of the Caribbean to the sub-zero conditions of Antarctica.
She can go up to 17 knots and has a cruising speed of 15 knots. It has a range of less than 6,000nm range at approximately 12 knots and 1,560 gross tonnage. The exterior and interior of the yacht are designed by Enrico Gobbi, while Arrabito Naval Architects is responsible for her naval architect. King Shark will be registered under Rina and Lloyd naval registry.
The 70m motoryacht also highlights its electric propulsion, which is based upon ‘Variable Frequency Philosophy’. This enables full power output when top speed is needed. It is also based upon a proper power management system that allows the gen-set to work on the more favourable curve so that the fuel consumption is optimised.
King Shark will be built in Rossinavi’s Viareggio, Italy-based shipyard. The same facility that has also built other Rossinavi 70m yachts including High Power III (Former Numptia).
Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi, commented: “After the Vector project with a length of 63m, we are very satisfied to be chosen again for this mega yacht construction and especially in this ice classification.”
