In April 2016, she was named the Best Sailing Catamaran at the Asia Boating Awards, awarded jointly by Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating. The editorial board praised her modern, dynamic lines, smooth curves and the functionality of her living area.
In September, the 42 was recognised by British Sailing Today as the Best Multihull of the Year. Its Editor-in-chief, Sam Fortescue, highlighted having the communication hub between the steering station and the cockpit, allowing a direct passageway within the saloon. He also gave a nod to the subtle changes introduced to the lines of the bow and its roof.
In late 2016, the catamaran received great critical acclaim from two reference journals of the American nautical press. In November, she was awarded the prize of Best 40-to-50 Foot Cruising Multihull” by SAIL Magazine. Again, the editorial board made special note of its living area and ease of navigation, especially in light winds.
Cruising World magazine named her as the Best Boat of the Year in the category of catamarans up to 50 feet. The jury recognised the evolution of her rigging. Moving the mast aft enlarged the size of the working foresail area with Code-0, as well as offering space for a self-tacking jib.
Enhanced navigation performance, as well as on-board comfort with wide side decks, large cleats and handrails allowing safe movement towards the bow along the doghouse, has made all the difference between her and her competitors.
