Having previously received it in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016, this is the sixth time the Club has won the award, which recognises Asian-based marinas that have demonstrated a high standard of technical excellence and service for boat owners, and overall marina operations and facilities management.

Besides “Best Asian Marina”, the ‘5 Gold Anchor’ marina club has also picked up two other awards year-to-date.

ONE°15 Marina’s contribution to promote sailing as a sport as well as undertaking major commercial events with national and international exposure had also earned it the honour of “Marina / Club of the Year 2017” awarded by the Singapore Sailing Federation in March 2017.

Past competitive events hosted by the Club included the Singapore Straits Regatta, which later became the SB20 Asian Grand Slam and Asia Pacific Championship, Clipper Round the World Race and the Volvo Ocean Race.

Besides its club and marina facilities and amenities, ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove also offers luxury hotel accommodation. Its sustainability efforts, including the development of an Environmental Policy that integrates eco-friendly measures with the operational procedures and commercial objectives of the Club has earned it its first recognition as “Luxury Eco-friendly Hotel of the Year 2017” at the Luxury Travel Awards in March 2017.

Mr Arthur Tay, CEO of SUTL Enterprise, which owns ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, said: “As ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, these three awards serve to affirm everything we have worked for over the years to make this a world class marina. It is indeed a strong encouragement for us as we seek to expand the brand overseas and to replicate the level of service and hospitality in all future ONE°15 branded marinas elsewhere.”

During the SSF Annual Awards 2017, Teo Joo Leng, General Manager of ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove, stressed the Club’s commitment in promoting sailing as a sport in the Asia Pacific region.

“We envision the growing popularity of sailing both as a leisure as well as competitive sport in the coming years. Our Club is committed to support the country’s sailing and boating associations to encourage more to pick up the sport and to nurture future sailing champions.”
