Turquoise Yachts announced its recently delivery of the new 47m motoryacht Razan. The design of the yacht is the result of collaboration between the shipyard and H2 Design.

Mehmet Karabeyoglu, CEO of Turquoise Yachts, said: “This yacht is an important landmark in the company’s evolution. Although she was a very well designed boat to start with, the owner wanted something different so we didn’t use any of the existing drawings. We designed everything from scratch.”

The newly conceived sundeck was designed to accommodate a spa pool and lounge bar. Further changes were made so that there would be a sea level beach club with gym and dive store, plus an extended swim platform.

The foredeck was reconfigured to allow for large tenders and a guest seating area.

Guest accommodations for 12 include two VIPs, a master suite and three staterooms. The shipyard mentioned that it is not very common for a five-cabin layout on yachts with this size. Each cabin of the yacht has Pullman bunks. The under-500GT vessel has a 2.6m draft and offers a 4,200nm cruising range.

Karabeyoglu said: “During sea trials, she achieved a top speed of 17.5 knots, a good 1.5 knots better than expected, as well as excelling in both sea keeping and stability and noise and vibration tests. Razan marks the beginning of the new Turquoise lifestyle.”

There are some other yachts currently in build at Turquoise’s Pendik and Kocaeli facilities in Istanbul and a few new design concepts fully engineered and ready to be built.

Turquoise plans to have Razan at the autumn boat shows in Cannes and Monaco and Fort Lauderdale.
