Attracting more than 40,000 visitors, SCIBS injects $148 million into the local economy each year. A trade and consumer show endorsed by Tourism & Events Queensland, SCIBS delivers a display with hundreds of boats and thousands of marine products showcased across four days.
The Marine Village will host exclusive product reveals and demonstrations of some of the world’s leading marine brands.
SCIBS General Manager Johan Hasser said the biggest names in the marine industry have chosen to once again launch their latest products and innovations at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
“The host of world launches, industry innovations and visitor experiences are guaranteed to captivate and delight the thousands of boating enthusiasts expected to descend on Sanctuary Cove for one of the leading boat shows in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Featuring everything from luxury superyachts and in-demand charter vessels, motor yachts, sailing boats and multihulls, to jet skis, fishing boats, RIBs, and the latest gear and gadgets, SCIBS caters to every level of interest, life stage and budget.”
Bentley Brisbane will come back to the show as a major sponsor, unveiling the new $399,000 seven-seat Diesel Bentayga SUV and the Continental Supersports to the Queensland audience.
The ‘Bentley Be Extraordinary’ road show exhibition will complete the experience, allowing guests to catch a glimpse into the craftsmanship, character and racing heritage of the British luxury carmaker during their visit.
Industry displays will be enhanced by a programme of family-friendly entertainment and events, including a Kids’ Zone, street performers, live music and food on offer throughout The Marine Village.
Last year’s popular additions including Supercar Street and The Boatyard – a dedicated sport and trailer boat precinct – will be back in 2017.
SCIBS 2017 will also present the International Business Lounge, where industry movers and shakers can talk business, network or relax in superb style and comfort; and the Top Deck VIP Lounge where guests can enjoy the ultimate boat show experience in a fully catered private retreat.
