MarineMax and Aquila team up for international expansion

MarineMax has joined forces with SeaNet and Yvan Eymieu, for the distribution of Aquila Power Catamarans internationally excluding China.

Eymieu, now working as the shipyard’s International Sales and Distribution Manager, brings over 10 years of experience in the yachting industry including charter sales, private sales, and regional distribution to the Aquila team.
Lex Raas of MarineMax said: “We are very excited to be joining forces with SeaNet and Yvan. Well established in the United States, the Aquila brand is now becoming successful in other countries such as Australia and Singapore.
“With 90 Aquilas sold and the 100th unit now on the production floor, Yvan’s extensive experience with catamarans and especially power cats will certainly be valuable as MarineMax sells Aquila globally.”
Eymieu will be based in Hong Kong and Thailand, where he will have easy access to the Aquila factory in Fuyang City, China.
Eymieu, a French citizen, speaks fluent French and English as well as basic Mandarin. He moved to China in 2005 and has been working in the yachting industry since 2007. After studying at the Arsenal Université of Toulouse and the London Business School, Eymieu became as a Yacht Sales Manager in Hong Kong. His wide-ranging blue water experience includes sailing from the Mediterranean to the West Indies in 2015 to 2016.
Rass added: “It is important to note that with Yvan, MarineMax is committed to the future expansion of the Aquila line that will assure international acceptance and success. We are currently considering adding a 60-foot Aquila and a 29-foot Aquila to the existing 36-foot, 44-foot and 48-foot Aquila line."
