The yacht was purchased by four friends, with the main buyer a previous Sanlorenzo owner. He also owned several other large yachts, before returning to Sanlorenzo to acquire their largest yacht built to date.
The 52Steel is a five-deck superyacht external lines drawn in collaboration with Mauro Michieli’s Officina Italiana Design, which also developed the interiors with warm colours combining with white, beige, taupe and browns.
A signature feature by Sanlorenzo, a floating staircase, is built from glass and white marble from the prestigious Carrara marble cave.
One of the technological highlights is the aft section on the main deck, a solution introduced by the Technical Department of Sanlorenzo Superyacht division, that includes a large swimming pool on the main deck with a fully transparent floor that allows natural light to filter into the beach club below.
The pool is also equipped with a Jacuzzi and counter-current swimming options. The beach club below features two folding terraces, one on each side of the yacht, serving as platforms with direct access to the sea.
The same beach club area can be transformed into a garage, with a controlled flooding system, for the storage of a tender up to 8m in length. This part of the boat also houses a fully equipped, customised gym for its owner.
The internal layout hosts a large owner’s apartment in the bow of the main deck as well as two VIP and three guest cabins on the lower deck. The 52Steel also has three dining areas with dining tables for 12 guests – one on the main deck, one on the upper deck and one on the sundeck. The external living areas are located on the main, upper and sun decks, and include bespoke outdoor furniture with sun loungers, seating and coffee tables by Paola Lenti.
The yacht has a 9.3m beam. Seven Sins can accommodate 12 guests and 9 crew, her maximum speed is 17 knots. When cruising at 11 knots, the yacht reaches 4,000 nautical miles range.
Three other 52Steel models are currently under construction at the La Spezia shipyard.
