The 17m model is the largest yacht from the yard, based in Groot-Ammers. Mulder Design is responsible for the naval architecture, creating the classic “lobster” style in the exteriors.
She has a deep-V hull, made from GRP core infusion vinylester glass fibre. For the interiors, there is a number of pre-designed solutions in either a light modern style or a darker traditional style with mahogany wood or bleached oak and other materials and finishes available, including veneers, leathers, textiles and more. Owners can also appoint their own designers.
The Z55 unit to be on display in Cannes features an airy décor in light oak with grey finish, which is believed to better suit the European market. The American version delivered to a customer earlier this year has more wood accents in both the interior and the exterior.
The main deck with saloon, galley, and cockpit makes up a one-floor social area. The yacht also features a 360-degree panoramic vista from the wheelhouse.
On the aft deck, there is an outside bar, cockpit and a stern swim platform with two mini-balconies on either side. Three guest cabins, including a master suite amidships, are placed below deck.
The Z55 is also equipped with joystick steering for manoeuvring, dynamic positioning, automatic trim, cruise control, stabiliser and on-demand information.
The new Z55 is fitted with twin Volvo Penta IPS 1050 engine, which gives a range of more than 400 nautical miles. With the optional Volvo Penta IPS 1200, she runs up to 40 knots.
