Simpson Yacht Charter announces that the sailing catamaran flagship from Lagoon Catamarans, the iconic Seventy 7, has joined the company’s growing catamaran charter fleet. It will be available as one of the very few Seventy 7s for luxury-crewed charters in the Mediterranean starting from August 2018 and later on in Asia.

Due to launch in June 2018, S/Y JOY will spend her first charter season in the Western Mediterranean around Corsica and the French Riviera between August to October. She will then sail the ARC Transatlantic Rally to cross the Atlantic and will be available for charters in the Caribbean.
Summer 2019 will see S/Y JOY chartering in the Mediterranean for the second time, before heading to Asia where her owner is based and where her future charter base will be located.
“Since its debut in 2016, the new Lagoon Seventy 7 catamaran has proved to be an exceptionally popular yacht that has been in record-breaking demand with 16 units sold in a few months but only a very few units are available for chartering, hence the exceptional appeal of S/Y JOY on the worldwide charter market”, explained Reanna Wang, Simpson Yacht Charter’ Business Development Manager.
A choice for a bespoke yacht charter holiday, S/Y JOY is set to cater to a wide range of uses, including coastal cruising, global exploration and event charter.
With superyacht DNA in its design, the Seventy 7 offers extensive on board spaces for its eight guests and their four ensuite cabins.
Large open spaces in the saloon, on the cockpit, flybridge and foredeck area, all with a spatial flow, make the most of the catamaran’s impressive volume, while huge windows flood the yacht with natural light.
Located on the main deck, the expansive main saloon forms the heart of the yacht, with sofas, a bar, entertainment systems, and a dining space.
A particular highlight is the master cabin, which includes a large ensuite bathroom, desk space, walk in wardrobe and generous living area. Direct access from the main saloon and out on to the cockpit and foredeck adds to the exclusivity of the master cabin space.
The three main exterior spaces are huge and provide the perfect base for outdoor living. Leading directly out from the main saloon the large aft cockpit is home to a dining space, extensive seating and direct access up to the flybridge and down to the transom.
The forward cockpit includes informal lounge seating, perfect for sheltered relaxation, and provides direct access to the trampoline net for relaxing and sunbathing.
Moving upwards, the flybridge with hardtop – ideal for protection from the heat of the day – is yet another space with a navigation station, sun pads, seating and unspoiled views across the water.
S/Y JOY is perfect for water lovers including diving compressor, snorkeling equipment, stand-up paddle boards, wakeboard and a full array of trendy inflatable water toys.
The yacht’s transom beach club opens up at water level to create a base for swimming and water sports, or as a tender dock or prime spot for guests to relax and enjoy the close proximity to the water.
