Y.CO, the challenger brand of the yachting industry, suggests five cruising destinations in Fiji for 2018. Step aboard a private luxury yacht charter and experience these alluring destinations in style and comfort.
Made up of 300 Islands in the South Pacific, Fiji is an archipelago nation for nature lovers and adventurous spirits.
Characterised by turquoise-hued lagoons, coconut-tree-lined stretches of alabaster sand and live coral reefs, the 20-volcanic islands-comprised Mamanuca offers charterers to snorkel on living coral reefs or sit on deck to watch cares recede into the foamy wake disappearing at the back.
The Yasawa Islands boast green mountains with peaks ranging from 250-600m high seemingly jut straight out of the ocean and rise up to the sky.
Charterers can take the yacht’s tender to the secluded beaches with the crew’s permission and kayak through waters overflowing with marine life, or undertake a guided expedition through the limestone caves of Sawa-i-lau.
Fiji’s second-largest island, Vanua Levu offers hikes along dense rainforest trails in the Waisali Nature Reserve, or you can anchor the yacht in Savusavu and lounge in deck chairs to soak in the tropical sunshine.
The easternmost fringe of the Fijian archipelago, the Lau Islands is roughly defined by a dotted line of 57 islands. It welcomes one to sail in the Qilaqila Marine Reserve, a protected and pristine spot.
The Lomaiviti Group consists of 16 islands which sit off the eastern shore of Viti Levu. Dive or snorkel on living coral reefs, or enjoy the local delicacies served by your crew with the sun sets slowly into the Pacific Ocean.
