The catamaran-based magazine Multihulls World is collaborating with the International Multihull Boat Show for the first ‘Multihull of the Year’ awards.

There are four categories at the 2018 awards – under 40ft, 40-50ft, over 50ft, and Power Multihulls. The Lagoon 40 and 50 are nominated in the 40-50ft category, while the Seventy 8 is nominated in the Power Multihulls category.

The 40 is endowed with a VPLP hull structure, an increased sail area, and a mast step positioned further aft. The 50 features a large open cockpit facing out to sea, a flybridge with the helm station, a foredeck, and a saloon.

The Seventy 8 offers a fully-customisable flybridge, a forward platform offering unrivalled space for relaxation, an aft cockpit with a view over the open sea, and a saloon complemented by large glazing units and headroom.

Instead of editors from the magazine, the decision makers at the ‘Multihull of the Year’ awards are sailing enthusiasts and practitioners.
