Palawan Sailing provides YachtMaster Ocean training in Asia

Palawan Sailing, a registered IYT sailing school located in El Nido in Philippines, has become the first training provider in Asia for sailing courses up to YachtMaster Ocean, the highest level of recreational sailing certificate.

IYT, the leading provider of recreational and professional navigation certificates, recently granted the founder and principal instructor of the sailing school, Thierry Giron, the right to teach all YachtMaster levels: Coastal, Offshore and Ocean.
Giron and Thomas Bicharzon, French senior instructor at Palawan Sailing, is experienced in the maritime activities and understands the training scheme of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
“We are very excited to be the first in Asia to provide comprehensive IYT recreational sailors' training. No matter if you want to start as an International Crew, or sharpen your celestial navigation skills, come join us for training in the beautiful Bacuit Bay, north of the Palawan Island for beginner sailing courses up to YachtMaster Ocean,” says Giron.
In addition, the school offers expedition on their ocean cruisers around the Palawan Island and Busuanga archipelago.
IYT Sailing certifications are recognised by over 24 jurisdictions worldwide and a growing number of maritime associations such as the British Maritime Coast Guard Association and the US Coast Guards.
Palawan Sailing included, over 250 schools in 56 countries have adopted the IYT curriculum for sailing yacht training.
