The four-day event was started with the Christofle Yacht Style Awards 2018 – presented by the founders Gael and Oliver Burlot – which Simpson Marine has added five awards to its portfolio.

The MCY 96 was given the Best International Motor Yacht (24-30m), while the Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 62 picked up the Best International Sailing Yacht in Asia. Lagoon Seventy 8, which had its world premiere at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival and was exhibited at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November, was named the Best Multihull Motor Yacht (over 15m).

The boat show also saw a series of events organised by the yacht dealer with the Beneteau Gran Turismo Sparkling Sundowner and the Monte Carlo Yachts Mediterranean Fiesta. Guests were treated to a performance by the belly dancer on the MCY 65 as she grooved to the beat.

Sergio Loiacono, Simpson Marine Thailand Country Manager says: ''We are delighted to present an exciting fleet of an on-water display as well as sharing the developments of these world-renowned shipyards to this inaugural yachting event.

“We are proud to announce the sale of the brand new Aquila 36, which was on display as well as the Lagoon 450 and a 38ft pre-owned catamaran”.
