The two parties have just signed an alliance agreement and they will meet each other at the Miami International Boat Show to tour a Florida-based FBC franchise operation.

Jean-Paul Chapeleau, Jeanneau’s CEO, explains: “The boat clubs are a real trend that our dealers are keen to develop. For Jeanneau dealers, it’s a unique opportunity to benefit from an experienced partner while launching this new service to our customers.”

FBC’s president and CEO John Giglio also looks bright on the partnership. “We are very pleased to be working directly with Jeanneau in the launch of our successful boat club franchise throughout Europe. Jeanneau and their dealers clearly understand and embrace the benefits of the sharing economy, and the boat club model specifically.”

With more than 150 locations in 30 states of the United States and in Canada, the FBC is one of the oldest and largest boat clubs in North America.

The pair expects to announce multiple FBC operations in France this spring, with additional expansion elsewhere throughout Europe to follow.
