In 60 years, Sanlorenzo has built over 750 yachts, with particular importance on its superyacht division, which 21 metal superyachts from 40-80m have been built to date and 15 of which are currently under construction.
The builder has experienced a turnover from €40 million in 2005 to 300 million in 2017, thanks to the management of Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO. The company is planning on investing further €60 million in the next two years, of which €24 million is destined for the renovation of La Spezia production site; €20 million for the Ameglia site; €16 million for the acquisition of the ‘Fipa’ shipyards in Massa and Viareggio and existing shipyard-renovation; and over €30 million on new products and research and development.
In addition, following the successful 13 units-sale of the SX88 launched in 2017, Sanlorenzo has unveiled a preview of the newborn of its product range – the new SX72 crossover yacht, and an asymmetrical SL102.
The SX72 is designed by the Zuccon studio for exterior and Piero Lissoni for the interior. The yacht keeps all the style features of SX88, including large open spaces and large windows and an over 18sqm beach club at the stern.
The SL102, on the other hand, boasts a greater usability of the interior spaces and better communication with the exterior, by only keeping the deck on starboard and eliminating the port side, allowing the configuration to recover about 10sqm of the area to benefit the interior.
