Developed in collaboration with the Milan-based Hot Lab Studio, the A105 has masculine lines that have been reinterpreted to raise the communal guest and alfresco areas to new heights. Its large apertures reduce the need for air-conditioning, solar panels integrated into the superstructure, and the use of thermally insulating glass.
Alfresco conviviality and relaxation can be seen on both the main and upper decks. The main aft deck can seat up to 10 people for a formal dinner, while the lounge area – which can be converted to a further dining area – has space for a further 12 guests. On the upper deck, the convertible sky lounge opens aft towards the 35sqm sun lounge, both providing Owners areas with direct sea contact.
The A105 is the third Arcadia yacht her owner has in seven years. Black and white is used in woods and combined with gloss-lacquered inserts in both the communal areas and the cabins, while the main saloon features dark carpeting and a lighter colour in floors and ceilings along the side, marking them out as passageways for moving about aboard.
“His choices reflected his navigation philosophy and that is something we are very familiar with: large convivial spaces for daytime and cabins that are genuinely able to offer exceptional privacy and comfort well beyond the category,” said Ugo Pellegrino, Sole Director of the Italian yard.
“This is why he asked us to dedicate the winter garden forward on the main deck to a playroom where he could gather with a few selected guests or simply enjoy the bow view and natural sea breeze guaranteed by two large side windows.”
