Designed by Finot-Conq, the 46.1 model is a progression of the Oceanis 45, which was awarded the title of ‘European Yacht of the Year’ in the Family Cruiser category in 2012. Employing the stepped hull of the 51.1, the new model has a large cockpit with table designed for up to eight people and houses the life raft.
Her companionway is equipped with two reclining sun loungers on each side, together with drinks holders. These can be easily lifted and taken to the yacht’s bow to relax if needed.
Inside, the large portholes bring plenty of natural lights into the boat, creating depth in the interior and view of the horizon. The cabinet can be customised with a choice between brushed light oak or mahogany, and can be extended to many of the options.
The yacht offers three to five-cabin layouts, with its owner space featuring a separate shower and head and a 160 x 205cm-double bed accessible from either side.
She is equipped as standard with an in-mast furling system and a self-tailing jib, all the halyards and sheets lead back to two winches on either side of the helm station. The twin rudder system with a fibre steering gives greater control under sail.
With a longer mast by 1m, a sail area increased by 28 per cent, Harken Performa racing deck fittings and a deep lead-bulb keel to reduce drag, the Oceanis 46.1 boasts unique cruising sensations.
