Sanlorenzo Asia has announced the sale of the new SL102 Asymmetric in Asia, which design was presented to the market in May at the shipyard’s 60th-anniversary celebrations in La Spezia and will be showcased at Cannes Yachting Festival (September 11-16) and Monaco Yacht Show (September 26-29).

The first asymmetrical yacht in the world, the SL102 is the work of car designer Chris Bangle with design developed by the Studio Zuccon International team. Each side is different – one side deck is located on the starboard side with a wide-bodied design to port, which adds an additional 10sqm to the interior space.

“Momentum with Sanlorenzo is building rapidly throughout Asia-Pacific, which is no surprise as it was simply a matter of time for clients to recognise the leap in quality and craftsmanship that comes with a Sanlorenzo Yacht,” said Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager who represented the owner in this deal.

“The brand appeals to experienced yacht owners wanting a beautiful yacht but also a reliable one designed as they want and built to stand the harsher environments of Asia. The appeal of the three unique lines in the yacht class larger than 126ft, SD, SL and SX mean there is a yacht suitable for all requirements.”

With several units already sold before official premiere, the SL102 will arrive in Singapore in early 2019 and will be presented as Asia premiere at the Singapore Yacht Show (April 11-14).
