Hong Kong's annual boat show will be run at the Hong Kong Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club between May 10 and 12 this year and promises to be an exciting event showcasing the latest in marine technology and luxury with many new models and designs on display. Many of the world's leading manufacturers and their dealers will be on hand to woo potential new clients. Besides the wide array of motor yachts and sail boats on show in the marina, there will also be sports cruises, live music, a food fair, a beer garden, a fashion show and a selection of childrens' entertainments.

Currently 29 exhibitors have signed up for wet berths and 12 have reserved dry berth space. At total of 31 exhibition booths have been sold, all pointing towards a healthy turnout in mid-May.

Simpson Marine have lined up four boats: A Beneteau Power Monte Carlo 5 (MC 5), a Beneteau Oceanis 55, an Azimut 54, and an Azimut 100 Leonardo.

The Azimut 54 has a spacious split level salon and a 14-square metre flybridge. The heir to the Azimut 53, this yacht has been designed to give an added luxurious interior and a revised deck layout for more leisure space. The 100 Leonardo, by comparision is more sporty and elegenat and designed very much with entertaining in mind. It combines a mixture of both interior and exterior entertainment spaces  and an open-plan main sloon. Special care has been taken to segregate crew and guest areas for better guest privacy.

This will be the first time that the Beneteau MC5 has appeared in Asia. She boasts a revolutionary new hull design called the "wave splitter" which literally cuts through waves in all sea conditions. The Oceanis 55 is the second largest boat in the Oceanis range and has a celan and contemporary design. Both these boats are ideal for Hong Kong owners that just want to get away from the city to anywhere around Hong Kong waters for a day to socialize with family and friend. The MC5 is ideal for new boat owners because of its easy licence requirements in Hong Kong for yachts under 50 feet. It seems Simpson Marine have something to suit all tastes.
