TAG Heuer VELA Cup is the largest sailing circuit in Italy, organized by the Giornale della Vela to join enthusiasts, on every kind of boat, in the most beautiful places of the territory.
In the gulf defined by all sailors "sailing paradise" the TAG Heuer Vela Cup makes a stop in Lerici , the pearl of the Gulf of Spezia. In collaboration with the Erix club (which provides moorings for boats from outside at special prices), it raced on a spectacular course that laps the island of Palmaria and Tino. In the evening, a prize-giving party in the center of Lerici.
In addition to the prizes for "almost all", a draw between all participants of a TAG Heuer watch and a Garmin inReach watch . By boat to Venice, an unrepeatable experience.
Now in its sixth edition, the TAG Heuer VELA Cup is a series of regattas / sailing organized by the Giornale della Vela that brings all types of boats and sailors to the sea. It is the circuit of sailing meetings with the largest number of participants in Italy where, in locations among the most fascinating of the Mediterranean, owners and crews of boats but also simple enthusiasts and curious, they meet for a party at sea and on the quay during a week-end.
The formula is very simple: a sailing competition between boats of all sizes and shapes, without age restrictions, without bureaucracy or technical complications, with rankings based on length. Whoever arrives first wins. In the evening, party on the quay.
For 2019 there will be a circuit of eight events from May to October: 800 boats from 5 to 30 meters, 32,000 enthusiasts involved, 300 prizes for the winning crews of all categories (modern and vintage), villages directly on the sea, parties Saturday evening with awards, food and music.
