Princess Yachts Thailand was honored to host the inaugural “Princess Yachts S.E.Asia Training and Service Week” with support from the service and engineering team at Princess Yachts International Plc who have flown from the UK together with various key suppliers including Sleipner, Opacmare, Caterpillar, TRAC and Seakeeper, CruiseAir, and ONAN. The week seminar and courses including practical demonstrations were attended by captains, engineers, service personnels, and owners from across the region including India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Maldives, Samui, Pattaya, and Phuket. Many have also stayed on to enroll in the new “Princess Yachts S.E.Asia Sea School”, headed by Mr Robert Hawkins, the resident RYA instructor based in Phuket.

The Princess Yachts S.E.Asia Training and Service Week ended on a high note as the lavish evening of Thursday 22nd March 2012 took place, with the largest gathering of Princess Yachts ever in Asia including historic models through to the very latest 2012 Princess collection including the Princess P42, V52, through to P64, 72MY, 78MY and 85MY. The evening saw a unique celebration of the Eastern and Western lifestyle experiences. Princess Yachts Thailand’s service yard and hoist‐bay was transformed into a striking sunset cocktail reception overlooking the Phuket Boat Lagoon marina with its fleet of 15 Princess Yachts.

Guests were treated to special catering by world‐renown royal Thai cuisine “Blue Elephant”, as well as a traditional Thai procession and a traditional Thai drum performance. The stage was filled with the representatives from the newly formed network in Southeast Asia, covering Thailand (Bangkok, Pattaya, Samui, Phuket), Singapore, Malaysia (Penang), Indonesia (Jakarta and Batam) who joined force to celebrate the official launch followed by the auspicious Asian gong‐striking tradition.

The second and final day of the Princess Yachts S.E.Asia Launch and Rendezvous saw a fleet of 12 Princess Yachts departing Phuket Boat Lagoon marina, heading for the picturesque Phangna Bay. The fleet then all arrived at what would be our unforgettable afternoon for the inaugural Princess Yachts S.E.Asia raft‐up at the beautiful “Koh Hong” national park, in Krabi. Special Thai-style longtail boats and canoes were provided to explore the hidden caves, inner lagoons and mangrove forests local to the area, as well as the signature Thai spa experience aboard the Princess Yacht or indeed on the pristine beach itself.
