Catamaran specialist Multihull Solutions has sold a Fountaine Pajot Summerland 40 LC motor catamaran in the opening hours of their first appearance at the Phuket show.

Multihull Solutions general manager Andrew De Bruin said that a Thailand-based expat had bought the Fountaine Pajot for private use with his family. The buyer had extensively researched the multihull market before viewing the vessel at the show. “Of the many boats I reviewed, the Summerland 40 offered the best fuel consumption and range.” the buyer said. “It also has a great use of space, an apartment-style owner’s suite, and outstanding stability and performance. I am a keen diver and this boat provides a stable and spacious platform for my family to enjoying diving throughout Asia.”

Staff from the Australian company, which has only recently expanded its operations into SE Asia, were impressed by the show. “The number of genuine visitors has been very high,” said De Bruin, “Our stand has had a constant flow of quality buyers, with a particularly strong Russian presence.”
