Published: Friday, 26 June 2020
Expedition-ready superyacht Qing has been listed for sale with Northrop & Johnson, with an asking price of US$14,950,000.
With a range of 6,600 nautical miles and a proven track record cruising in remote destinations around the world, Qing is suited to an owner with a taste for adventure.
Designed by Ron Holland and built by Hong Kong-based builder Cheoy Lee in 2012, Qing is the second hull in the Cheoy Lee Marco Polo series, and received a refit in 2020.
The yacht features a driven deep hull shape made of steel and a composite superstructure and bulbous bow. Built to Lloyds Register 100A1 SSC Yacht Mono G6 UMS classification society rules, she is MCA compliant. Qing has excellent stabilisation to provide comfort at anchor and in rough seas.
The expansive interior spaces onboard are decorated with gloss-finished Macassar ebony panelling and built-in furniture. Floating walnut floors are designed to reduce sound and vibrations. The interior is complemented by oversized windows that provide excellent views of the surroundings. Despite the luxurious trimmings, she remains under 500 GT.
Five staterooms offer accommodation for up to nine guests. The master is a spacious three-room suite on the bridge deck, which features an open-air lounge, bedroom and ensuite bath with steam shower. The yacht’s additional staterooms include a king VIP stateroom, a king-bed stateroom and a twin bed stateroom. There is also a single bed in the gym that can be used as a nanny cabin.
Qing’s gym is equipped with an Arc trainer exercise bike and treadmill. The gym also provides a second emergency escape from the guest accommodations via the engine room.
