Ferretti Yachts Releases New Flagship Design

Ferretti Yachts has released the design of its new 30.13-metre flagship, the Ferretti 1000. It will be the biggest yacht ever built by the legendary Italian brand and designed to be suitable for all markets. The 1000 is Ferretti Yachts’ first ever vessel to feature substantial use of carbon, with all of the superstructure made from the lightweight material.
The 1000 features a huge flybridge area connected directly to the forward lounge area, allowing for total privacy.
The new flagship is a result of the partnership between Ferretti Group's Product Strategy Committee (led by engineer Piero Ferrari) and engineering department, with exterior design work by architect Filippo Salvetti and a new interior design concept by Ideaeitalia.
The 1000 has a revamped stern concept, with 40 square metres of living space, on par with superyacht sizes. The beach club has direct links to the swim platform and cockpit. There are three steps on each side that open up as the platform lowers, extending the cockpit stairs, which makes it easier to board from the water.
The garage accommodates a Williams Sportjet 445 tender, a personal watercraft and even 2 Seabobs. The design of the 1000 lets owners, their guests and the crew can all comfortably move around separately.
“Ferretti Yachts 1000 is the brand’s flagship and it heralds a new style based on even more simple and clean-cut forms… The new concept for on-board flows that has been introduced here is set to become an iconic part of all of the large vessels in the range,” says Filippo Salvetti.
Buyers can choose from two different interior moods: classic, with soft, traditional tones and subtle contrasts, and contemporary, with bold colours and more urban and modern influences.
Large, floor-to-ceiling glazed windows yield tremendous views to guests and owners. On request, the large floor-to-ceiling glazed windows in the lounge on the main deck can be made to open up on both sides.
With the standard layout, there are five cabins in the guest area: an owner’s suite on the main deck and four large double cabins that are all the same size on the lower deck. The crew area sleeps five people, and there is a large captain’s cabin.
The Ferretti Yachts 1000 reaches a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots, based on preliminary data. Depending on engine configurations, the new 1000 has a maximum range of 310 nautical miles.
On request, the new yacht can be equipped with a gyroscopic stabilisation system and stabilising fins to keep it as quiet and comfortable as possible.
