Organisers of the Cannes Yachting Festival have revealed the exhibitors and boats that will appear at the show's 43rd edition, which takes place from 8 to 13 September this year.

All eyes will be upon the event as the first 'live' show to take place since Covid-19, and a raft of safety and distancing measures, including a deep-cleaning schedule and mandatory mask-wearing, will be in place.

Over 400 boats – including motor, sailing, monohull and multihull boats – are set to be exhibited at Cannes’ two ports. Vieux Port will be showcasing motorboats and luxury, while Port Canto will be devoted to second-hand yachts, sailing boats, and toys.

Dominating the festival’s innovative category is Gruppo Fipa, with four boats containing innovative features ready for global launch. The motor yacht company will be presenting the Maiora 30 Walkaround Infinity Aft Stairs, whose tall ‘infinity aft staircase’ offers a continuous view of the sea; Maiora 35 Exuma, a 35-metre vessel featuring a convertible flybridge and low furniture that can go up to 35 knots; Maiora 30 Convertible, the convertible version of the award-winning Maiora 30 Walkaround; and the AB 80, a monohull that can comfortably cruise over 58 knots.

The only Asian exhibitor in the Yachting Festival, Hudson Yacht Group’s HH Catamaran designs its cruising catamarans in California and builds them in Xiaman, China. The exhibited OC 5001 is part of the group’s Ocean Series, designed with easy single-handed sailing in mind.

The ERYD 30 was cited as one of the ten masterpieces of the Italian Design in the Naval Industry from 2000 to 2015, and the Italian brand is back with a new yacht — ERYD 32. ERYD 32 takes inspiration from ERYD 30 and ERYD Open. The hulls of ERYD 32 are equipped with a pair of foils that help increase performance by decreasing displacement and offer greater power to the daysailer.

Handcraft weekend boat maker specialising in Dutch sloops Waterdream Yachts’ attendance is also confirmed. It will be exhibiting California 52, currently the most spacious dayboat available on the market. The 52 feet vessel’s amount of living space is made possible by its special underwater hull.
